MOBILE METHODIST PRAYERS
Following a successful pilot, the Methodist Church is now offering free weekly prayer texts to help Methodists join in prayer with hundreds of others on topical and personal issues.
To register for the texts, simply send a text message reading PRAYNOW to 82088. You will be charged your standard network rate. Each week thereafter, you will receive a prayer text free of charge.
As examples, here are a couple of prayers sent recently:
'Lord help me to hear your word speaking into my life through the stranger I meet along the way. Amen.'
'Lord be my shepherd. Lead me beside still waters and restore my soul so that all I do and say reflects you.
Amen'.

The results from the pilot study were very positive. Comments included: “I welcome those prayertime texts, they make me stop and pray whatever I'm doing, wherever I am.”
PRAYNOW reminds us that we are part of a growing community of prayer, whatever may be going on around us.

HOW COULD YOU BECOME MORE INVOLVED IN ST ANDREW'S?

Would you like to be part of a team of people to operate the projector on Sunday mornings?
IT skills desirable but not essential. Training will be given.
Speak to Kwabena Amankwah.
Also, if you would be interested in operating the amplification system, speak to Dave Sturgeon.
Are you a general handy person? Would you be able to help with gardening; general property maintenance; keeping an eye open for jobs to be done? Speak to Dave Sturgeon.
Unfortunately, no financial remuneration available, just the quiet satisfaction of a job well done!

PICTURES TO SHARE
The Circuit has purchased two sets of illustrated books
which are intended for use with people who have problems in communication, such as those suffering with stroke or dementia.
Three of the books in this series are available to us at St. Andrew's and can be found in the Prayer Room.
If you wish to borrow a copy please sign on the list provided and return after use.
There is a leaflet giving advice as to how to use them and with whom.
